I’m sorry to just now learn of Ralph’s passing. As a very young man at only the age of 20 I started working at Oak Ridge at the K-27 gaseous diffusion plant(sister building to K-25)and was scared to death that first day and for the next couple weeks to come. Ralph was one of the first radiological technicians I met and I truly say I never once saw the man that he wasn’t smiling. He helped calm my nerves and when it lists grandchildren, there are about 50 names missing because I can’t count how many of the men I went into that building along side with that called Ralph papaw. A great guy.
