Anderson County Convenience Center Weather Related Advisory

Clinton, TN–All Anderson County residents should be advised that inclement weather is anticipated for the region, and should road conditions become too dangerous, Anderson County has been notified that the Chestnut Ridge Landfill could potentially close early on Friday, January 10th, and potentially be closed on Saturday, January 11th as well.

If this occurs, Anderson County Convenience Centers will also potentially close early if conditions are too dangerous, or if the containers fill and there is nowhere to dispose of garbage due to Landfill closure. Be aware that if the Landfill and Convenience Centers close early on Friday and are closed on Saturday, this will cause delays at the Convenience Centers on Monday, January 13th as well. In the event of Winter Weather related closures, all efforts will be made to get the Convenience Centers reopened as quickly as it is possible and safe to do so. Safety is priority one, so please watch the weather carefully, and check for media advisories, or with the Anderson County Solid Waste Department at (865) 463-6845 for information on Landfill and Convenience Center closures and anticipated delays. Information will be updated daily in the event of any weather-related closures.

Citizens may also download the Anderson County 911 TN app on their cellphones to receive updates about storm related impacts.  The app is available on Apple at the App Store, or Google Play Store for android.
