Man Arrested for Assault After Incident at Rockwood High School Football Game

The Roane County Sheriff’s Office has reported the arrest of a man accused of attempting to grab two girls during a Rockwood High School football game on Friday evening. The suspect, identified as 38-year-old Oscar Pierce Livingston Jr., was taken into custody and charged with two counts of simple assault. He remains in jail at the Kingston facility with bonds totaling $20,000.

According to Chief Deputy Tim Hawn, the two girls informed a school resource officer that a man had been loitering outside the fence behind the visitors’ bleachers and grabbed one of them by the arm. Thanks to the efforts of Rockwood Police and the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Livingston was apprehended while fleeing through a nearby neighborhood. Fortunately, neither of the girls were physically harmed, and there is no indication that Livingston knew either of the victims.
