Shooting in Rockwood; no one hurt, one facing charges

Around 10 am today Rockwood Police were called to respond to shots fired at The Heritage Hills Apartments near Wal Mart. According to Rockwood Police Chief Bill Stinnett, his officers arrived within minutes to the scene where a female opened fire on a man and her daughter inside a vehicle at the main office of the apartments but never struck either one of the occupants. 55-year-old Linda Flanagan according to Chief Stinnett, walked up to a car occupied by a Mr. Kent Booher and her daughter 27-year-old Sarah Phillips and shot several rounds from a .357-magnum pistol before officers were able to get her to put down the weapon and take her into custody.  Following the investigation which alleged the incident happened because Flanagan didn’t want her daughter with Booher, a former attorney that was disbarred, causing her to begin shooting at him.  Chief Stinnett said the two in the car were fortunate not to be hit by the bullets as he said the car windows were struck and several rounds on the outside of the car as well. No, one was injured, and Linda Flanagan was arrested and taken to jail where she faces charges of Attempted murder and possibly aggravated assault with a weapon.
