Mary Kathleen Yarber, 89, longtime resident of Roane and Anderson Counties, passed away peacefully at her son’s home in Paducah, KY, on Thursday, September 10, 2026. Born to Lee D. and Catherine (Lizzy) Wyrick June 6, 1937.
Preceded in death by both parents, husband Bobby Joe Yarber, son Randy Lee Miller, brothers, Jimmy, Johnny and Ozell Wyrick, sisters, Rosa Lee Mount and Betty Jane Bledsoe.
She is survived by her son Charles (Charlene) Miller of Paducah KY,
stepdaughters; Pam LaClair of Knoxville TN, Jill (Mike) Athearn of Kennesaw GA.
sisters; Linda (Ed) Turner of Harriman, Judy (Jim) Stafford of Kingston,
grandchildren; Jessica (Ashley) Pennebaker of Paducah KY, Nathan (Ginny) Miller of Paducah KY, Randy Lee Miller of Greensboro GA,
step-grandchildren; Emily LaClair of Knoxville Tn, Levi and Dustin LaClair of Kennesaw GA, and 10 great-grandchildren.
Kathleen was an active member of Big Mountain Baptist Church. She wrote many gospel songs and sung them at church. She loved her family, was a good neighbor and a good friend. Kathleen enjoyed greatly working in her flowers and cheering on the UT VOLS! But most of all she loved her Savior and wanted everyone else to love Him.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Kyker Funeral Home of Kingston. Funeral at 1:00 with Reverend Ronnie Nickell officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Baptist Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, 2200 Children’s Way Nashville, TN 37232. Kyker Funeral Home of Kingston is serving the Yarber Family.
