OAK RIDGE, Tenn. — The Oak Ridge Police Department is investigating a single-vehicle crash that claimed the life of a 19-year-old Oak Ridge woman Monday afternoon.
Police said the crash was reported around 1 p.m. at the intersection of Briarcliff Avenue and Capital Circle in the Briarcliff neighborhood.
Lana Haese, 19, of Oak Ridge, was transported to Methodist Medical Center following the crash. She later died from her injuries.
Briarcliff Avenue was blocked for several hours as Oak Ridge police and emergency crews responded to the scene and conducted their investigation.
The Oak Ridge Police Department said the investigation remains ongoing. No additional information about the circumstances surrounding the crash has been released at this time.
