Mr. James Alfred Beasley, Jr., age 79 of Potters Chapel Community, went home to be with the Lord on August 9, 2026. He enjoyed fixing cars and gardening and gifting his fruits and vegetables to people. He was deeply loved and he helped anyone and everyone he met. He loved feeding deer and he loved his chickens but also loved all animals.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father Thelma Rose Potter Beasley and James Beasley, Sr.; brothers and sister Owen Gene, Charles Polk, Johnny Evan, Roger Dale and Pluma Rose Beasley; nieces and nephews Monica Beasley and Roger Jr. “Buddy” Beasley, Junbug Gilreath and Jamie Gilreath.
He is survived by his wife Glenda Beasley; daughters Cynthia Susan Beasley, Melinda Gail Beasley, and Crystal Rose Beasley; grandsons and granddaughter Evan Nathaniel Joines, Issac James Beasley, Lakeanne Hayley Rose Beasley; sisters and brothers Bessie Ooten, Kay Dixon, Lou Beasley, and Lester Beasley, and Oral Beasley. And a host of extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at Schubert Funeral Home from 11:00-12:00 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Old Potters Chapel Cemetery in Lancing.
