Harriett Jean Austin Keil passed away on Monday August 17, 2026.
Jean was born in Hannibal, Missouri September 6, 1934. She married her high school sweetheart, Robert Keil in August 1952 and they moved to Oak Ridge, TN in 1959. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. Jean and Bob were active in the community and were tireless volunteers for furniture and food pantry ministries. She also worked to organize the library at First United Methodist Church in Oak Ridge.
She was preceded in death by parents Lola and Robert Shank, Harvey and Ivaree Austin, brother and sister in law Jim and Sandy Austin. She is survived by he son Ted Keil, by daughters Susan Gann, Lori Frye and Sandra Orlando; grandchildren Steve (Tammy) Gann and daughters Hayley, Taylor and Rylee; Nick (Laura) Orlando and children Ferris, Fiona, Finneas, Fox and Fawn; Elizabeth Orlando and son Daniel Seals: Rachel (Andy) Jacobs and Vanessa (Robert) Partee.
A private burial will be held at Quincy Memorial Park on Wednesday August 26th at 10 AM.
