Ms. Margie Lois Riddle Smith, age 92 of Oakdale, TN, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at Roane Medical Center. She was born on February 19, 1934, in Rockwood, TN. She was a seamstress at Roane Hosier Mill for 28 years before she retired. Margie married the love of her life, Mr. Henry Clay “Bud” Smith, and loved being with her family every chance she was able to. She was a longtime member of Pine Orchard Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her mother: Lola Hazel Hedrick Riddle & U. Freeman Riddle; her loving husband: Bud Smith; sister: Hattie Bell Kreis; and brother: Dub Riddle.
She is survived by:
Daughter: Sharon Smith of Oakdale, TN
3 nieces and 1 nephew
She will be missed dearly by her family, friends, and everyone she had the pleasure to cross paths with.
The family will receive friends at Evans Mortuary chapel on Monday, May 4, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Graveside and interment service to follow at Pine Orchard Cemetery with Rev. Ronnie Nickell officiating. Evans Mortuary is honored to serve the family of Ms. Margie Lois Smith.
