Elmer Phillips, age 58, of Sunbright, went to his heavenly home on April 29, 2026, at his home. He was born on April 18, 1968.
He is preceded in death by his father, Reno Phillilps; brothers Robert, Jessie, Charles (Duke), and Eddie Phillips; sister-in-law Robin Phillilps, and brother-in-law Paul Jones. Grandfather Johnny Hummel and grandmother Pearl Kelly.
Elmer is survived by his mother, Wilma Phillips; sisters Betty Jones, Brenda Phillips, and Wilma (Joe) Higgins; sister-in-law Lori Phillips; brothers Jimmy Phillips, Reno Jr. (Brandy) Phillips, and Randy (Cindy) Phillips, and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Elmer loved working outside and making bird houses and many other things out of wood.
The family will receive friends Monday, May 4, 2026, at Schubert Funeral Home from 12:00-2:00 p.m., with the funeral to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. David Dial officiating. Interment will follow in the Byrd Cemetery in Sunbright.
