Brenda Sue Phillips, age 67, passed away suddenly on May 5, 2026, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge, with her family by her bedside. She was born June 13, 1958, to Reno and Wilma Phillips
She is preceded in death by her father, Reno Phillilps; brothers Elmer, Robert, Jessie, Charles (Duke), and Eddie Phillips; sister-in-law Robin Phillilps, and brother-in-law Paul Jones. Grandfather Johnny Hummel and grandmother Pearl Kelly.
Brenda is survived by her mother, Wilma Phillips; 2 sisters, Betty Jones and Wilma (Joe) Higgins; sister-in-law, Lori Phillips; brothers Jimmy Phillips, Reno Jr. (Brandy) Phillips, and Randy (Cindy) Phillips, and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 8, 2026, at Schubert Funeral Home from 12:00-2:00 p.m., with the funeral to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. David Dial officiating. Interment will follow in the Byrd Cemetery in Sunbright.
Brenda loved going places even if it was just to the doctor’s office. She loved eating KFC, and going to Partners Pizza for the salad bar.
She will be missed by all who knew her.
