Robert Allen (Bob) Jameson passed away peacefully on April 26, 2026. Born in Pembroke, Kentucky, Bob moved to Oak Ridge, TN, in 1944. He graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 1955 and Union College in 1959. He began his 40-year career teaching social studies at Clinton High School in the Fall of 1959. He was known for his commitment to education and was a respected member of the Tennessee Education Association.
Throughout his life, Bob served his community as a member of the Clinton City Council, Anderson County Commission, Anderson County Election Commission, and the Clinton Utilities Board. He was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Clinton. Bob was very devoted to Clinton High School, where he volunteered fervently in extracurricular activities supporting the Dragons.
Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Martha, and his son Michael, whose memory he cherished in the years following their passing.
He is survived by his son, Robert Allen Jameson Jr. (Kris), and his grandchildren, Robert III (Ellen), Rachel Temple (Jordan), and Ryan (Sarah), along with four great-grandchildren, all of whom carry forward his love of life and sense of humor. He will be remembered for the lasting impact he made both in his community and within his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
The family will receive friends from 11:00-1:00 on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at Holley Gamble Funeral Home. His family will have a private graveside service held at Woodhaven Memorial Garden. Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements. Holleygamble.com
