HARRIMAN CREWS RESPOND TO MULTIPLE CALLS MONDAY AFTERNOON

Emergency services were busy in Roane County Monday afternoon, as the Harriman Fire Department responded to multiple incidents within minutes of each other.

Around 12:15 p.m., first responders and an ambulance were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Pine Ridge Road and Highway 70.

Officials say a female involved in the crash was evaluated at the scene and may have been transported to the hospital. Traffic in the area was temporarily halted and directed through the scene by Harriman Police.

At nearly the same time, Harriman fire crews were also called to the Cracker Barrel, where a female inside a restroom was experiencing a medical issue. It’s unclear if she was transported.

Both incidents happened simultaneously, keeping emergency crews busy as they also handled several additional medical-related calls throughout the afternoon.
