Carole Marie Beltz, 77

Carole Marie Beltz passed peacefully from this life surrounded by loved ones, on March 30, 2026, at the age of 77. She was a cherished mother, sister grandmother, and friend, and will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.

Born on August 11, 1948, in Royal Oak, Michigan, Carole grew up in West Bloomfield, Michigan.  She enjoyed life on a small farm, surrounded by various animals, fields, and ponds.  She was the youngest and only girl, of four children.  When she was a bit older, she spent her afternoons riding the horses of the neighbor across the street.  One of her favorite stories was of being thrown off a very large horse, into an even larger manure pile, which resulted in a broken wrist and (another) scolding by her father for riding without a saddle.  Carole often said that her childhood was a dream come true and that she couldn’t have asked for anything more, or better parents than what she was blessed with.

Carole is survived by her daughter, Sarah, and son-in-law Michael Miceli (grandchildren Hailey, Rachel, and Dominic), her son Jeremy, and daughter-in-law Jamie Beltz (grandchildren Jordan, Tyler, Kali, Collin, Kaden, and Carson).  She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Stewart Marcus Beltz, Jr., her parents Harvey and Mildred Vachon, and her beloved brothers Don, Dick, and Larry Vachon.

Throughout her life, Carole enjoyed reading by the river, walking on the Song Bird trail, seeing live music, spending time with her animals, and enjoying the togetherness of family and friends.  She especially loved living in Norris, and you may recognize her for her years of service delivering the Norris Bulletin.  She was also known for her love of country music, especially Keith Urban’s music.  It’s not ironic that her favorite Keith Urban song, “You’ll Think of Me” was playing softly in the background when she met Jesus.  Carole attended dozens of country music concerts and will forever be known as her daughter’s concert buddy, travel companion, and best friend. If you saw Sarah, you saw Carole.

A celebration of Carole’s life will be held on Sunday, April 25th, from 3:00-6:00 pm, at The Corner Spot in Norris, where family and friends are invited to drop in, share memories, enjoy food, drink, and honor Carole’s memory.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Carole’s memory to the Norris Animal Shelter, reflecting her lifelong love of animals.

Though she is gone from our sight, her love and light will remain with us always. Carole will forever be in our hearts.
