Sonja Olson, 59, passed away in her home on March 19th, 2026, in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Per her request, in lieu of a memorial service, her family is requesting donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
Born on November 10th, 1966, Sonja grew up in Germany with her brother, Guido. She met her late husband, Daniel, while he was stationed on a military base near her hometown of Bremerhaven, and they were inseparable once married. Being a military wife, she was patriotic to a fault and was never afraid to tell you her opinion. Sonja spent her entire life caring deeply for her family – she wanted nothing more than their success and love in life. She was so kind to everyone she met, cared so deeply for those close to her, and would do anything in her power to make sure her family had everything they could want or need.
Sonja was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel. She is survived by her two daughters, Kimberly and Yvonne, their spouses, Michael and Brandon, and her two dogs, Bulldozer and Thelma.
Sonja will be remembered for her joy and her love. Her love of amusement parks created countless memories that her family will cherish forever.
