Mr. Jeffrey C. Ables, age 65 of Rockwood, passed away on Sunday, February 23rd, 2026. He was born on October 7th, 1960. He worked as a heavy machine operator. He loved playing cards with his closest friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Cleave Abels Jr & Phyliss Nealon McGhee; grandparents: Albert Lee “Jabbo” Nealon & Mary Elizabeth Nealon; Uncle: Donald Ray Nealon; and cousins: David Wayne Nealon and Kelly Knox.
He is survived by:
Stepdaughter and caregiver: Christina Miller
Special Aunt: Maymie Ruth Nealon
Special Cousins: Tara Seth, Donnie Ray Nealon Jr (Alice), David Travis Nealon (Tina), Dean Perry, Barbara Knox, Sandra Knox, and Felicia Nealon.
along with a host of other extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 28th, 2026, from 1:00-2:00 pm ET at Evans Mortuary in Rockwood. Memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm ET. Private family interment will be held at a later date.
