Multiple Emergencies Reported Today in Roane County

ROANE COUNTY, Tenn. — Emergency responders were busy across Roane County today after two separate vehicle accidents and a medical flight call kept crews in action.

The first crash happened around 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of Strang Street and Front Avenue in Rockwood. One person was injured in that accident.

Later in the morning, a second crash occurred in a well-known trouble spot — the Midtown corridor of Harriman — at the traffic light at Pine Ridge Road and Highway 70. Two people were hurt, but their injuries were reported as non-life-threatening.

Also around 10:30 a.m., Lifestar was dispatched to the helipad at the Midtown ambulance station to transport a 65-year-old woman who suffered a head injury after falling at a home. She was flown to a medical facility for treatment.

Officials remind the public to use caution in high-traffic areas and remain aware of emergency crews working throughout the county.
