New Faith-Based Ministry Paving the Way for Community Healing and Support
Meigs County, TN – Set Free Ministries and Programs is thrilled to announce the official groundbreaking of its new facility in Meigs County, Tennessee. This marks a significant milestone in the launch of the organization’s mission to serve the community with faith-based outreach and support programs focused on helping men overcome addiction. The groundbreaking ceremony, was held on February 8th 2025. Set Free will bring together community members, ministry partners, the City of Decatur, the Meigs County Commission and others to celebrate the beginning of a new chapter in the Meigs County community.
As a newly established ministry, Set Free is excited to lay the foundation for services that will provide help for men to overcome life’s most challenging obstacles. The new facility will allow Set Free to offer a variety of services, including addiction recovery, case management, work force re-introduction, as well as a safe, stable living environment —all designed to create lasting change for those in need.
“We are so excited to take this first step in our ministry’s journey,” said Donnie Beal, President of Set Free Ministries. “This is a momentous occasion for us as a new ministry, and we are deeply grateful to the community, our partners, and the county for their support and encouragement as we begin this important work. We believe that through faith, compassion, and collaboration, we can help addicted men experience real transformation and healing.”
Set Free Ministries and Programs aims to be a resource for Meigs County and the surrounding areas, focusing on the needs of individual men who are struggling with addiction, trauma, and other challenges. Through education, mentorship, and spiritual guidance, Set Free seeks to build a path to freedom and renewal for every person who walks through its doors.

Set Free Ministries extends its heartfelt thanks to the Meigs County Commission, Mayor of Meigs County Eddie Jewell and the City of Decatur for their invaluable support as the ministry takes its first steps in this mission. The Meigs County Commission has played a key role in helping Set Free get started. While the City of Decatur, including City Mayor John Wayne Irwin and the City Council, have provided vital encouragement and resources.
Additionally, Set Free would like to acknowledge the generous contributions of local churches, businesses, and community leaders who have helped lay the groundwork for this new ministry.
The groundbreaking ceremony will include a prayer of blessing, brief remarks from community members, and a celebration of the shared commitment to healing and service in Meigs County.
