Rockwood Detective Indicted on Federal Charges Involving Child Exploitation

Rockwood Police Department Detective Charles Crothers was indicted by a federal grand jury on September 4 on serious charges related to child exploitation. The indictment includes one count of attempted enticement of a minor and one count of attempted production of child pornography.

Crothers, who has served with the Rockwood Police Department for several years, made his first appearance in a federal courtroom on September 5. The case is being led by the FBI, with local authorities stating they are not involved in the investigation.
