Joseph “J.D.” Damewood, FNP, ENP, age 49, a resident of Rockwood, Tennessee passed away Saturday, August 31, 2024, at his home. He was born December 26, 1974, in Princeton, West Virginia. J.D. was a Family Nurse Practitioner certified in Emergency Medicine and devoted his life to the care of others. He loved to hunt, fish, and to travel.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, David & Nellie White, and Bill & Sheila Damewood; and special friend, Jack Byrd.
Survivors include:
Wife of 22 years: Kandy Damewood
Daughter: Tara Damewood
Mother & Father: Janet Damewood & Ward Bailey
Father & Stepmother: Joseph & Cindy Damewood
Father-In-Law & Mother-In-Law: Ken & Marie Patterson
Brother-In-Law & Sister-In-Law: Charlie & Allie Patterson
Aunt: Lynn Whitteker
And several Nieces, Great Nephews, Great Niece, and other relatives and many friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 5, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Evans Mortuary. Funeral services will follow on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Evans Mortuary. Graveside services and interment will be held Friday, September 6, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the Roane Memorial Gardens in Rockwood, Tennessee.
