Jimmie Wilson Jackson passed away on the morning of August 25, 2024, at the age of 89 with her loving daughters by her side.
Jimmie was born on September 8, 1934, and grew up in Oliver Springs where she later met and married her husband Raymond and raised a family. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, affectionately known as “Mimi” to those closest to her. Blessed each day by her love and kindness, Mimi will be sadly missed and forever remembered by family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William Carson Wilson and Sylvia Garrett Wilson; husband, Raymond Jackson; brothers, Bud, Johnny, and Keith; sisters, Lila, Jackie, Patsy, Mary, and Sally.
She is survived by daughters, Joy Jackson and husband Vic Gatto, Kim Button and husband Randy; granddaughters, Kristie Parker, Lindsey Button, Courtney Button and husband Chris Phillips; grandson, Adam Button; great-grandson, Brody Parker; sister, Carlene Hall.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 8, 2024, in the Garden of Gethsemane at Oak Ridge Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the Pat Summitt Foundation.
