Incident at Clinton High School Results in Soft Lockdown; No Firearm Found

This afternoon, a staff member at Clinton High School was alerted to the possible presence of a firearm on campus. In response, the school was immediately placed under a soft lockdown while the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with school administrators, thoroughly investigated the report.

After a comprehensive search, it was determined that the report was unfounded, and no firearm was found on campus. Once the school was confirmed to be secure, the lockdown was lifted, and students were safely dismissed.
