Phyllis Lorraine Eller Meyer 74, of Oak Ridge, Tennessee passed on August 23, 2024.
She was born in Ducktown, Tennessee on October 21, 1949. She was preceded in death by her mother Florence Wilma Eller Womac and father, Julius Eller. Brothers Billy Eller, Gilbert Eller, Dennis Eller, and sister Anna Ruth Hollenhead.
She is survived by sister Sue Akins of Madisonville, TN, and brother Gerald Eller of Lake Panasoffkee, FL. Surviving daughters are Kelly Bonner (Thomas Bonner) of Lafayette, GA, and Julie Strickland (Darel Strickland) of Winder, GA. Her surviving life partner is Sterling DuVall of Lexington, KY.
Other survivors include grandchildren Kelsie McKeel, Levi Hutcheson, Desmond Chesser, Alyssa McDaniel, Kayla Hutcheson, and great-grandchildren Jaylyn McKeel, James Hutcheson, Jaxon Hutcheson, Madelyn Hutcheson, Josiah Hinton, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Phyllis worked for 22 years at Gwinnett County Government in Lawrenceville, GA. After retiring she returned to Oak Ridge to be near her many friends from school days. She was a member of the 1967 class of Oak Ridge High School. Phyllis loved gardening, fishing, and traveling.
A celebration of her life is scheduled for October 19th at the Oak Ridge Elks Club from 3 pm until 6 pm. All family and friends are invited.
