Patricia Ann Melton, age 82, peacefully passed away on August 10, 2024. Born on September 26, 1942, Patricia lived a life filled with faith, love, and dedication. From a young age, she was saved and embraced her Christian faith, finding strength and comfort in her relationship with God.
Patsy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her family deeply. She spent many years serving her community through her work with the Department of Corrections before enjoying a well-earned retirement.
She is now reunited in heaven, with both her parents, Pearl and Anna Mae Stringfield, her brother Roy Stringfield, sisters Jean Swint and Peggy Nitzchke, her son Christopher Scott Melton, grandsons Joshua Allen Davis and Noah Ryan Melton, and great-granddaughter Addison Lea Davis, and her husband of 30 years Paul Melton
Patricia’s memory will forever be cherished by her surviving family: daughter Tammy and son-in-law Mike Norman of Wartburg; sons Freddy and daughter-in-law Rosanna Melton of Crossville, and Jeff Melton and his partner Debbie of Wartburg.
She was affectionately known as “Nans” by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Her grandchildren include Jacob and Tiffany Melton, Hannah Jo, and Damian Seweryn, Kristy Davis Damon Davis Trey and Mary Melton, Tyler, and Holden Melton, and Ashley Davis. Her great-grandchildren, who will carry on her legacy of love, include Lilly, Morgan, Melton, Noah, Hayley Jo, Heidi, Holly, Hensley, Connor, Nariyah, Jackson, Conner, Nevaeh, Westen, Connor, and Elijah.
Patsy’s gentle spirit, unwavering faith, and boundless love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 12, 2024, at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg from 5:00-7:00 p.m. EST.
The funeral to follow at 7:00 p.m. EST. with Bro. Freddy Melton and Bro. Jake Melton. Graveside services will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. EST. in the Clear Creek Cemetery in Lancing.
