Man Arrested in Roane County Following Traffic Stop; Stolen Vehicle Recovered

Early this morning, a Roane County deputy arrested a man following a traffic stop on New Hope Road around 1 a.m. The vehicle, reportedly stolen from Rockwood last Saturday evening, was pulled over during the stop.

According to arrest records and information from the Rockwood Police Department, the suspect, identified as 29-year-old Izack Thomas Woods, was taken into custody after being searched and read his rights. Woods was then transported to the Roane County Jail.

Woods faces several charges, including theft of a motor vehicle valued between $10,000 and $60,000, multiple failure to appear warrants, simple possession or casual exchange, violation of probation, and tampering with or fabricating evidence. He remains in jail with bond set at $30,000.
