Frances Inez Weaver, 99, Oak Ridge

Frances Inez Weaver, 99, of Oak Ridge passed away peacefully at home on August 18, 2024. She was born to parents Albert E. Fortune, Sr. and Mary L. Fortune on April 3, 1925, in Phenix City, Alabama. She was a homemaker ensuring all family needs were met. She was of Baptist faith and loved working in her yard and drew pleasure from the beauty of her flower gardens and landscaping.

Frances was preceded in death by her husband of 76 years, John Daniel Weaver, Sr.; great-grandchild David Surrett; parents Albert E. Fortune, Sr. and Mary L. Fortune; and brother Albert E. Fortune, Jr.

She is survived by six generations including sons Danny Weaver and wife Pat, Jamestown, NC; Ken Weaver and wife Victoria, Knoxville, TN; daughters Brenda Bright and husband Willard, Piedmont, AL; Deborah Brock and husband Jimmy, Oak Ridge, TN; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-great-grandchildren. She is survived by two sisters, Sandra Brown, Rome GA, and Helen Tillery, Auburn AL.

The graveside service will be held at Oak Ridge Memorial Park on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at 2:30 pm with Reverend Rebekah Fetzer.
