David Resmondo of Loudon, TN sadly left us on August 2, 2024, due to severe mental health issues.
He leaves behind his daughter Lauren Erickson, son-in-law Michael Erickson, granddaughters Coraline Erickson, Madeline Erickson, and Emmeline Erickson, his sons David Allen Resmondo and Wyatt Matthew Resmondo. His mother Hazel Reynolds and “Paw” Gary Reynolds, his sister Michelle Resmondo, nephews Jamie & Daniel Fullwood and sister Lorraine Thompson and brother-in-law Brent Thompson and his girlfriend Sheila Dickey “His missing piece”, as well as uncles, aunts, and many cousins.
David was and will always be loved tremendously by his family and friends, if you knew David, you loved him. He loved deeply even though he struggled to show it. The mental health issues he dealt with would be the driving force behind his actions. He struggled with past regrets for years and with current life events that he felt embarrassed and ashamed to ask or seek help. It’s all too common in our society to NOT reach out for help when we feel alone.
My family is obviously devastated by this tragic event and WE’RE very thankful no one else was injured by my brothers’ actions. Mental Health is a silent killer, it took his life because he couldn’t. Our family sends prayers to the officers and the others that have been affected by this tragedy and we just ask that you please know he wouldn’t have hurt anyone. Thank you for all the kind words for our family as we deal with his loss. My mother is beside herself and his children are devastated. PLEASE pray and help anyone that shows any signs of Mental distress and get them the help they need.
Our family will forever cherish our memories of David as we help his children and my mother cope with our loss. Some of David’s regrets in life as we all have them at times was how things ended with the mother of his children Jenee Scott. Our family is blessed to have her in our lives, as without her we wouldn’t have them.
