Daniel Walter Summers (9/5/1959-8/21/2024) was born in Oak Ridge, Tennessee to Robert Macy Summers and Polly Crowder Summers.
Dan was a resourceful handyman doing all sorts of random jobs for his life’s work. He was very active, enjoyed helping others, and really good at finding the best deal. Most of all, Dan really loved his family and will be missed by many.
Dan was preceded by father Robert Macy Summers (1996) and brother Robert Warren Summers (2024).
Survivors include his children, Dustin Daniel Summers (Sarah); and Kali Amber Scudder (Jonathan); his mother Polly Summers Blackburn; brother Macy Webb (Sherry); Sisters, Claire Hawn and Sue (Wendell) Hamby; as well as several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers: If anyone would like to donate to help cover expenses are being accepted by his son, Dustin Summers.
We will have a Celebration of Life on August 31st at 2 pm in Roane County Park. We will be in Shelter 6 from 2 pm to 5 pm. 3315 Roane State Highway, Harriman, TN 37748. We will have an open mic for anyone that would like to speak. Also, we are requesting everyone to bring a dish of their choice.
