Woman Arrested After Striking Police Car

A female driver was arrested by the Tennessee Highway Patrol on Saturday evening after she drove through barricades set up for the Rockwood High School prom party in downtown Rockwood at The Gazebo. Fortunately, she did not hit anyone, but she did collide with a patrol car belonging to the Rockwood Police Department. The driver, 66-year-old Pamela Foster, was charged with DUI, violation of the implied consent law, driving on a revoked and suspended license, having no vehicle insurance, and moving barricades. She bailed out on Sunday with a bond set at $5,000. Rockwood Police Chief Kelly Pittman reported only minor damage to the patrol car and expressed relief that no students were harmed.
