Harold Keith Gore, Oak Ridge

Harold Keith Gore, 83, of Oak Ridge, passed away peacefully, Sun. May 23, 2021, at Life Care Center of Crossville. He was born July 16, 1937, in Oneida, the son of Marion Carson and Carley Blevins Gore.  He married Patricia Douglas Gore and served in the USAF after graduation from Oak Ridge High School in 1955.  He worked various jobs as an auto mechanic including with Ford Motor Co. in St. Louis. Harold was a hard-working man who never met a stranger, and helped everyone he could.  His family was always his top priority.  He loved anything that had to do with cars.  He retired from Trans Tech Auto Repair in Oak Ridge. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wives, Patricia Douglas Gore and Shirley Harris and by sister-in-law, Claudia Gore. Harold is survived by daughters, Ginny (Keith) Miles of Kingston, Kathy (Tom) Kelley of O’Fallon, MO and Rhonda Gore of Oak Ridge; brothers, M. C. Gore of Oneida,  David (Aundrea) Gore of Sugar Hill, GA; sister, Judy (George) Mueller of Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren, Stephanie (Mike) Short of Lake St. Louis, MO, Jim (Miranda) Shanks of St. Charles, MO, Justin Miles and Jon Miles of Kingston, and Austin Gore of Oak Ridge; 6 great-grandchildren, Carson, Logan, Belah, Gavin, Baleigh, and Sunny, all from MO; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 28, 2021, from 5 – 7 pm at Weatherford Mortuary.  A funeral service will follow at 7 pm with Pastor Mike Harbin officiating.  Masks are optional. Family and friends will meet for a graveside service on Saturday at 11 am at Kingston Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions are made in Harold’s name to his favorite charity, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
