Marjorie Ann Jaggers Nall, Oak Ridge

Marjorie Ann Jaggers Nall, 97, of Oak Ridge, passed away Monday, May 11, 2020 at Canterfield of Oak Ridge Senior Living.

She was born December 30, 1922 and raised in Hampshire, TN, the daughter of Willard Mabry Jaggers and Nell Marsh Jaggers. She graduated from Hampshire School and later earned her teaching certification in Arkansas. In the summer of 1953, the family moved to Oak Ridge. Mrs. Nall has been an active and dedicated member of Kern Memorial United Methodist Church since 1953 and has always enjoyed taking part in church activities. She was a long-time member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood; played with numerous bridge clubs; loved to read; and enjoyed knitting.

Her husband, Earl Biddle Nall preceded her in death in 1992. He was a former principal at the Pine Valley and Highland View Elementary Schools in Oak Ridge.

She is survived by daughter, Marsha Hicks and husband Joe of Gun Lake, Michigan;
sons, Earl Nall and wife Joyce of Kingston and Philip Nall and wife Debbie of Clinton; brother, Willard Mabry “Bud” Jaggers of Hampshire, TN; 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by special friend, Dot Shotts of Oak Ridge.

The family would like to express their heart-felt appreciation to the staff at Canterfield of Oak Ridge Senior Living and to the employees of Amedisys Hospice for the wonderful and compassionate care shown to their mother.

Memorials, to Mrs. Nall’s memory can be made to Kern Memorial United Methodist Church, 451 E. TN Avenue, Oak Ridge, TN 37830. Due to current COVID19 concerns, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
