Kimmie Mitchell, Oliver Springs

Kimmie Mitchell, age 59 of Oliver Springs, passed away on November 30, 2017 at Methodist Medical Center.

He was born on November 26, 1958 in Oak Ridge, TN. He lived his entire life in the Briceville and Frost Bottom Community. He was a member of Briceville Church of God. Kimmie had a love for listening to gospel music and Dolly Parton’s “Jolene”, watching old time comedies including Andy Griffith and I love Lucy, and watching movies like Coalminer’s Daughter.

Kimmie was preceded in death by father, Oscar Mitchell; sister, Geraldine Daugherty; brothers, Carson Mitchell and Ronson Mitchell.

Survivors include his mother, Gertrude Mitchell; brother, Loyde Mitchell; sisters, Patricia Singleton and husband Raymond, Madgelene Guy and husband Paul, Vernice Hinkle and husband Ronnie; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and his caregivers.

Visitation will be from 4-6 PM on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Premier Sharp Funeral Home and the funeral service will follow at 6 PM with Rev. Steve Seiber officiating. A graveside service will be held at 1 PM on Monday, December 4, 2017 at Frost Bottom Cemetery.
