Nellie Mae Jiles Treadway, Rockwood

Mrs. Nellie Mae Jiles Treadway, age 90, formerly of Rockwood, Tennessee passed
away peacefully on Monday, November 27, 2017 at the Bridge at
Highland in Portland, Tennessee. Nellie was born May 13, 1927 in Rockwood,
Tennessee. She attended Rockwood High School and worked for 47 years at Adler
Corporation and Roane Hosiery boarding socks. Her children remember her as a soft
spoken, kind and patient mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals. She loved
to sing the Praises of God. Nellie was a generous and dedicated individual who loved
the Lord with all her heart! She and her husband, Bill served many of the local churches
where Bill was the Pastor. She is a member of Post Oak Baptist Church in Rockwood.
Nellie was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Bro. William D. “Bill”
Treadway; brothers, Newt Jiles of Dayton, TN; Sam Jiles, Jay Jiles, and Boyd “Rusty”
Jiles, all of Rockwood, TN; sisters, Estel Shanahan of Ten Mile, TN; and Willie Lemons
of Spring City, TN; and grandson, John Treadway of Rockwood, TN.

Survivors include:

Sons:Johnny Treadway & wife, Marilyn of Rockwood, TN
Larry Treadway & wife, Donna of Cottontown, TN

Grandchildren:Natalie Mudd & husband, Marcy of Shelbyville, KY
Danielle Robertson & husband, Mike of Mammoth Cave, KY
Billy Ray Simpson of Rockwood, TN
Angie Cooper of Rockwood, TN

And many Great Grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 29, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00
p.m. (E.S.T.) and Thursday, November 30, 2017 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. (E.S.T.)
at the Evans Mortuary. Funeral services will follow on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at
2:00 p.m. (E.S.T.) from the Chapel of Evans Mortuary with her son, Bro. Larry Treadway
officiating. Committal services and interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in
Rockwood. An online register is available at Evans Mortuary of
Rockwood is serving the family of Mrs. Nellie Mae Jiles Treadway.
