John Harper Evans, age 80 of Rockwood, passed away on Monday, June 2. Family will receive Friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm Thursday, at the Evans Mortuary, Memorial Graveside Service and Interment will be held on Friday, at 11:00am in the Bowman-Evans Cemetery at Caney Ford with Rev. Charles Kelley, officiating. Evans Mortuary of Rockwood is serving the Family of Mr. John Harper Evans.

Johnnie Jackson Turnbill, 81, of Harriman passed away Friday May 30. His family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 pm at Sharp Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow. Graveside services and interment will be held Saturday at 12 noon at the Oliver Springs Cemetery. Sharp Funeral Home of Oliver Springs in charge of arrangements.

Johnny Manis, age 57 of Harriman passed away Saturday May 31. The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home, Harriman. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 with Rev Ronnie Turpin and Rev. Clyde Jones officiating. Interment services will be private. Davis Funeral Home, Harriman in charge of arrangements.

Roy F. Burney, age 62, a resident of Oliver Springs, TN passed away Wednesday, June 4. Arrangements are incomplete at this time, Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs, TN

Harold C Davis 92 of Oliver Springs Passed away June 3. Harold joined the United States Air Force, in 1942, at the age of 20. While serving he received several medals including, the European African Middle Eastern Service Medal with 4 Bronze Stars, Air Medal 8th AF, with 3 Oak Clusters, the Distinguished Flying Cross, and several other medals, decorations, ribbons and commendations. At the age of 90, in Atlanta, GA, he was awarded the L’egion d’Honneur, which is equivalent of French Knighthood for his role in the Liberation of France. The family will receive friends Saturday, between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 pm, at Sharp Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 8:00 pm with Pastor James Jones and Pastor Jeff Parrott officiating. Burial and graveside services, with full military honors, will be held Sunday, at 2:00 pm, with Pastor Garvan Walls officiating. Sharp Funeral Home is serving the Davis family.

Carol “Annie” Smith, age 65, of Kingston, passed away Wednesday, June 4. The family will receive friends 3:00 5:00 pm, Saturday, at Fraker Funeral Home in Kingston with funeral service following at 5:00 pm, in the chapel. Graveside service immediately following at Bethel-Fairview Cemetery. Fraker Funeral Home of Kingston is in charge of all the arrangements.

Roy Franklin Burney, age 62, a resident of Oliver Springs, passed away Wednesday, June 4. The family will receive friends, Saturday, between the hours of 5:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. at the New Fairview Baptist Church. The funeral will follow at 8:00 P.M. in the church with Pastor John Edwards and Pastor Wayne Morgan, officiating. Burial and graveside services will be held, Sunday, at 4:00 P.M. at the Mount Pisgah Cemetery. Sharp Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Thelma E. Lively, age 80, a resident of Munster, IN, passed away Wednesday, June 4. The family will receive friends Sunday, between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 pm, at Sharp Funeral Home.
