Funeral Announcements May 21, 2014

Janet A. Gould, age 66, formerly of Oak Ridge passed away Sunday, May 18. Private spreading of her cremains will take place in one of her favorite settings. Fraker Funeral Home of Kingston is in charge of all the arrangements.

Amos Joshua Van Hall, age 38, of Oak Ridge, died Monday, May 12. He served with the US Army from 1994 – 2003 as a Military Police Officer. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 from 6 – 7pm at Ridgepoint Church, in the Solway Community. The memorial service will follow at 7pm with Rev. Robert Melton officiating. A graveside service will be held at a later date at the TN Veterans Cemetery in Knoxville. Weatherford Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.

Shirley K. Miller, age 79, a resident of Devonia, TN, passed away, Tuesday, May 13. The family will receive friends Thursday, between the hours of 12:00 and 2:00 pm, at Sharp Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 2:00 pm, in the funeral home chapel. Burial and graveside service will follow at Anderson Memorial Garden. Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs is in charge of the arrangements.

Anna Laura Powell, age 82 of Harriman, passed away on Sunday, May 18. Arrangements are as follows: Thursday,at The Child’s Memorial Baptist Church in Harriman, the Family will receive Friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Funeral will Follow with Rev. James Griffith, officiating. Interment/Concluding Services will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, Family and Friends will go in procession to the Roane Memorial Gardens at Rockwood, Tennessee. Evans Mortuary of Rockwood, Tennessee is serving the Family of Mrs. Anna Laura Powell.

Gary Ray Price, Sr. age 66 of Rockwood passed away May 19. Mr. Price was a United States Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War. Family will receive friends Thursday, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Mortuary. Funeral Service will follow at 12:00 PM. Graveside Service will be in the Gary Price Family Cemetery Rockwood, TN. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Mr. Gary Ray Price, Sr.

Mary Dean Lewis Ferguson, age 80 of Midtown, passed away May 20th. Visitation will be on Friday, from 1:00pm to 2:00pm in the Chapel of Evans Mortuary. Graveside Memorial Services will be held at Roane Memorial Gardens following the visitation at 2:00pm with Rev. Randy Griffis and Rev. Kevin Sellers officiating. Lowell Van Jones, age 77, of Clinton, passed away Wednesday, May 21. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 pm, Friday, at Second Baptist Church with a funeral service to follow with the Rev. Mike Thompson officiating. His burial will be 10:00 am, Saturday at the Grandview Memorial Garden. Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements.

Walter Wright, age 71 of Harriman, passed away on Monday, May 19. The family will receive friends at Evans Mortuary, Rockwood, TN on Saturday, from 10:00am to 12:00pm. The funeral service will follow with Rev. Ted Taylor officiating. Graveside services will follow the service in Bradbury Cemetery in Kingston, TN. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Mr. Walter Wright.
