Decks
Our live programs use these decks for air play. We use a 3/4" Sony U-matic SP, 1 Sony Digital Still Store mini-disc recorder, 2 Panasonic SVHS, 1 JVC Professional series SVHS, 1 Sony Betacam SP record/play deck, and a POP video player that plays our commercials off of a hard drive.
GVG 1600
This is our on-air switcher. This allows us to switch between camera shots and video decks. It is a very old, but very good Grass Valley Group 1600 switcher. We have 2 more in our storage room that we rob parts off of to keep this 20 year old workhorse going. We also have a Abekas A-34 solo that we use as a switcher also in-case of failure on the GVG 1600.
